Anne et Valentin BUBBLIES

BUBBLIES

An all-acetate concept, with completely rounded edges, hence their name. Brushed matte tenons grip the face and extend onto the beginnings of branches, which are also rounded. As for the arm ends, well, you could even use them to blow bubbles. Or not.
These bubble vibes come with poise, not softness, due to their taut lines that bring contrast, and their thickness, which is especially pronounced in the branches.

While the BUBBLIES seem to be playing the simplicity card, there’s more beneath the surface. The material treatment and rounded elements bring a hint of retro flair. Their inner opposition is what truly defines the BUBBLIES: the faces shine excessively with a polished, ball-like effect; the flat tenons and branches boast a strong matte finish. The result is a dynamic interplay between the roundness of the front and the square/rectangle sides – which structure and define the face, injecting strength, character, and a touch of intellectual chic.

Their shapes, thanks to the meticulous attention they received, are very present. Regardless of the model, BUBBLIES are dense and expressive. Their attitude is cool – but not laid-back. Casual – but relaxed. Tense – but not stressed. They belong to those who appreciate design but prefer scavenging through privately owned collections. Mood? Sweet and tangy, like candy.
