METRO

Seven shapes, all feminine, albeit divided into two categories - thick and regular: METRO frames are urban classics with a demanding level of finish, yet free of ostentatious signs. They claim their allegiance to the electro-rock, almost new-wave spirit of the Eighties. Their evocative names take us to the trendy districts of big, bustling cities.

Lines are prevalent in the METRO concept. The frames are subtle, anchored in their time, and seem to naturally exult. In these furiously urban models, notable details are what makes all the difference in the world: Highly structuring bridges. Pastilles at the end of their branches, like light punctuations. Enamelled, integrated and riveted hinges, for a luxurious finish. Think of them as the pretty lining on a sober garment, known to owners and insiders only. Art Deco engravings, geometry of the sign, like secret metro maps, or intimate constellations. On the crystal branches, these hinges made visible reveal their ornament’s other side.

Revision cuts and contours bring out the volumes, in sober, restrained tones. The quest for luxury exists here in the material, in the detail, in urban cuts, but the frames themselves offer a direct reading. They are designed like men’s costumes revisited for women. Their strict androgynous shapes are there to bring structure and confidence to the face. Sculptural without excess, available in classic shades, these structured glasses are easy to wear, find their way everywhere and complement any personal uniform.
